Privacy policy

Applies to the Genygo Chrome extension and the service at https://genygo.com. Generated from this installation's settings on 2026-09-28.

In short

  • The Genie only looks at a page after you summon him on it (or on sites you chose to allow).
  • He never reads passwords, payment fields, one-time codes, hidden inputs or anything you typed into forms.
  • Your voice goes straight from your browser to Google Gemini for the live conversation. We do not record audio.
  • You can switch off page analysis, screenshots, transcripts and history, and delete your data at any time in the Privacy center.

What the extension reads

When you summon the Genie on a tab, the extension builds a short summary of that page: the address, the title, headings, and the visible buttons, links, tabs and form labels, with their position on screen. Before anything leaves your browser it:

  • skips the contents of every form field, and marks password, payment, one-time-code, hidden and similar fields as off-limits;
  • replaces email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs and access tokens found in visible text with placeholders such as [email];
  • on private sites — web.whatsapp.com, mail.google.com, outlook.live.com, messenger.com, www.messenger.com, web.telegram.org — shares only button and field labels, never message text, and takes no screenshots.

Voice and screenshots

While a session is live, microphone audio is streamed from your browser to the Google Gemini Live API, which answers with speech. We do not receive or store the audio. When the Genie needs to see the page and you allow screenshots, the extension sends one reduced JPEG of the visible tab to Gemini. We only record that a screenshot was taken and its size.

Google processes what is sent to Gemini under the Gemini API terms.

What we store and for how long

  • Account: name, email, password hash, language, security settings — until you delete your account.
  • Session history (site domain, duration, tasks and their steps, and each action taken with the label of the button or field involved): 90 days, only if "Save session history" is on.
  • Transcripts of what you and the Genie said: 30 days, only if "Save voice transcripts" is on.
  • Page records (domain, path, title, number of elements): 7 days, only if "Save session history" is on.
  • Usage (minutes, tokens, screenshot counts) for limits and billing: 400 days.
  • Error reports: 30 days. Security audit log (sign-ins, setting changes): 365 days.
  • Beta sign-ups from the home page (name, email, optional country and message, how you would use the Genie, preferred language, your consent to be contacted about the beta, and a keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself): used only to contact you about the beta, kept until you ask us to delete them or the beta no longer needs them.

We never store form values, passwords, raw audio or screenshots. API keys you provide are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown again or sent to your browser.

Your choices

In Dashboard → Privacy you can turn page analysis, screenshots, transcripts and history on or off, delete each category of data, or delete your account and everything linked to it. In the extension you can end or stop a session at any moment, and remove its access to sites in the options page.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Live conversations are processed by Google as described above. Otherwise, data is shared only if the law requires it.
